I do as well, but there is a 4D chess aspect to it. Scott Adams put it best. It simultaneously destroys the Russia narrative, makes Trump look like he means business, and serves as a “fake response” to a questionable event.

But it also potentially sends bad signals too, that he’ll react to whatever emotional picture comes out.

If it stays at this, he’ll be fine, but we have to condemn it loudly and unmistakably so it won’t continue.
